I'm only giving this church a bad review due to their reverend, Scott Kilgore. He delivered a speech at my mother's funeral service and it was all but wonderful. He never did her eulogy, never mentioned her only child (me), her only grandchild, or anyone in her family for that matter. But he did remember to mention her love for her dogs, because that's what counts. We requested little preaching as possible, as my mother was not extremely religious, but he went ahead and preached the majority of her service. He was nowhere to be seen afterwards because he left immediately. When I called him a few days later to ask him why he never mentioned me or her grandchild, he responded by saying, "Because I assumed people already know who you were." What does that make a difference? I told him how upset I was in regards to family not being mentioned and him not granting our wishes of little preaching (and here is the topper) all he had to said was, "Sorry you feel that way", as though it wasn't his fault I was upset, it was my own. For a reverend and human being, he is very insensitive, arrogant, and rude. I now regret having contacted him to speak at my mother's service. It's a moment that I won't be able to get back.
